Controversies Arise at Taiwanese Representative Office in the U.S.: Bullying Allegations Surface

Reported 9 months ago

Following reports of the Taiwanese representative to the U.S., Yu Da-chuan, spending NT$8 million of public funds on daily supplies for the official residence and attempting to purchase a new official vehicle prematurely, KMT legislator Hsu Chiao-hsin has revealed allegations of bullying at the representative office. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded that they have not received any complaints of workplace bullying within the office. However, if concrete evidence of bullying emerges, they will handle it objectively and fairly. The ministry emphasized that they take workplace bullying seriously and have established channels for staff to file complaints. If bullying is confirmed, appropriate actions will be taken, and mental health support will be provided to the individuals involved. Additionally, they will investigate further into the bullying allegations raised by legislators.
