Controversy at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital: Heart Specialist Loses Job While Investigating Surge in Female Doctor's Performance to Over 300 Million

Reported about 1 year ago

Following the Ministry of Labor fining Chang Gung Memorial Hospital 100,000 NTD for suppressing the union, the hospital suspended union chairman Lin Chang-Chi. When heart specialist Lin Chang-Chi noticed a female doctor named Tseng's annual performance skyrocketing from less than 10,000 NTD to over 300 million NTD, he raised concerns and initiated an investigation. This led to him being penalized, losing his job in July. Lin suspected Tseng of achieving the surge in performance single-handedly and reported to authorities, leading to a dispute with the hospital regarding Tseng's earnings and ultimately his dismissal. Ministry of Labor investigations found discrepancies in the hospital's report, leading to a 100,000 NTD fine and Lin's dismissal.
