The Legislative Yuan rejected the reconsideration proposal put forth by the Executive Yuan regarding the parliamentary reform bill, prompting President Lai Ching-te to seek constitutional interpretation and interim disposition from the Constitutional Court. Ko Wen-je, Chairman of the People's Party, criticized President Lai for going back on his word and disrupting constitutional governance, questioning why the parliamentary reforms proposed now were not advocated by the DPP back in the day. Ko emphasized the importance of respecting the legal process and called for unity amid the ongoing political tensions and disputes.
