Wu Xuan Altar in Tainan recently sparked outrage among believers due to a post promoting the 'marriage' of Guan Sheng Di Jun with the heavenly goddess at Lukang Mazu Temple. The temple was criticized for altering the goddess's name and acting without permission. Despite backlash, the Wu Xuan Altar stated they would proceed with their activities and emphasized that divine decisions do not need public approval. Lukang Mazu Temple, with over 360 years of history, clarified that the 'marriage' promotion was solely the altar's initiative and reminded visitors that religious worship should be respected. Both temples condemned any misleading of religious beliefs.
