Controversy over Military Units Competing for Mine-clearing Bonus

Reported 12 months ago

The Ministry of National Defense recently decided to allocate special funds to establish a bonus for handling explosives, mine sweeping, and unexploded bombs, to enhance the protection of personnel engaged in dangerous missions. The bonus, divided into three types, allows soldiers to receive 15,000 yuan a month if they are actively involved in mine clearing tasks and meet the required standards. However, the distribution of resources has sparked controversy within the military, with some units even changing their names and reorganizing to claim the bonus, causing internal scrutiny.
