The Parliament Reform related bills were passed by the Legislative Yuan but were subject to reconsideration by the Executive Yuan, approved by President Lai Ching-te. In response, People First Party Chairman Ko Wen-je criticized the Executive Yuan's 7 reasons for reconsideration as merely slogans without convincing reasons, questioning why the DPP denies its past beliefs now in power. Ko also expressed disappointment at the Legislative Yuan becoming an arena for political confrontation, accusing the DPP of disrupting proceedings instead of genuine discussion, and vowed to continue advocating for Parliamentary reform despite the challenges ahead.
