Taipei Metro faces another controversy over priority seats as an elderly man loudly scolds a man sitting in the priority seat and even physically attacks him, leading to both parties filing assault charges. The incident occurred when a 75-year-old man requested a 29-year-old man to give up his seat due to illness, but the younger man refused as he was suffering from a stomachache. Chaos ensued with onlookers getting involved, and the elderly man ended up hitting the younger man, resulting in a physical altercation.
