Controversy Surrounding Influencer Allegedly Involved in Fraud Case

Reported about 1 year ago

During a court appearance at the Taipei District Prosecutors' Office on June 27, 2024, a man named Yeh showed up in a glamorous female outfit despite being identified as male. Yeh, who has gained fame as an influencer with close to 60,000 Instagram followers, was mistakenly implicated in a fraud case where a victim was swindled out of over 300,000 NT. Due to Yeh's feminine features and online popularity, many companies sought him for endorsements. Although initially seen as a suspect, investigations revealed that Yeh had no intention of defrauding the victim, leading to a decision of non-prosecution. Despite attempts to settle with the victim, disagreement over the amount lost hindered reconciliation with no conclusive resolution.
