In Tainan, a female rider surnamed Li was fined 9,000 yuan for calling a male rider surnamed Chen 'Ugly' after a traffic dispute on the road. Li pressed the horn and was accused of insulting Chen as well. Despite Li's claim that Chen initiated the provocation, the judge ruled that her actions constituted a public insult offense and sentenced her to a fine of 9,000 yuan or 9 days of community service, with the option to appeal the decision.
