Cotton Futures Decline on Friday

Reported 2 days ago

Cotton futures experienced a decline on Friday, with prices dropping between 13 to 30 points, and December futures falling 51 points for the week. Market influences included a decline in the US dollar index and lower crude oil prices. Speculative funds increased their net short positions, while export sales reflected a 36.6% rise from the previous week, largely driven by demand from Vietnam, India, and China. Actual cotton shipments also reached a four-week high.
