Hualien County Councilor Lin Yuanfu accused his wife, current Xincheng Township representative Chen Xiuling, of being taken away by Chiayi Sub-bureau Chief Wu Sihan, who is 10 years younger than him. They had a dedicated phone line and made calls every day until midnight. On June 19, Lin was attacked by his wife, causing him to lose 4000cc of blood and undergo a 5-hour surgery with 5 blood transfusions to save his life. The case is now in the judicial process awaiting a verdict.
