On June 20, 2024, during the review of the second day of the Parliament Reform Reconsideration at the Legislative Yuan, several citizen groups advocating against parliamentary abuse of power continued to gather outside the parliament with increasing crowds in the evening. The organizers announced around 9 p.m. that the crowd had reached 8,000 people and urged everyone to come and protect Taiwan tomorrow. Various citizen groups have been holding activities and forums around the Legislative Yuan from the 19th to the 21st to oppose parliamentary abuse and uphold democratic principles. With the vote on the Parliament Reform Reconsideration set for the 21st, citizens have been actively supervising since the 19th, emphasizing rejection of democratic regression and highlighting the importance of transparent and consensus-based legislative processes.
