Counterfeit Goods Seized in Taiwan: LV Faces Infringement with Millions of Dollars Loss

Reported 9 months ago

The police in Tamsui, New Taipei City confiscated over 400 counterfeit items including clothing, shoes, and hats bearing brands like LV, Chanel, Gucci, Nike, and Adidas, with LV alone facing an infringement loss of around two million New Taiwan dollars. A 25-year-old vendor named Jiang was caught selling these counterfeit products at a traditional market, attracting buyers with low prices ranging from 300 to 1100 NTD. Jiang faces legal consequences, and the authorities are tracing the origins to prevent such counterfeit goods from circulating further. Buyers are warned to be cautious of significantly cheaper and subpar quality brand items, as they may be counterfeit. Bringing counterfeit products abroad can lead to hefty fines.
