Country Garden (2882) Chairman Cai Hongtu has been targeted by impersonation scams for the third time, following incidents in April 2022 and August 2023. Imposters have set up fake Facebook fan pages, groups, Line accounts, and websites to solicit the public to buy stocks or financial products. Country Garden recently released an official statement clarifying that high-ranking executives would not request personal information, provide investment advice, or ask for money through such channels. They urge people not to believe or spread such misinformation to prevent falling victim to these scams.
