In their first 3-game winning streak in franchise history, the Taoyuan Steel Eagles defeated the Uni-President Lions 9-3 with strong performances by CTBC Brothers' Lin Fu-Yu, Wang Po-Jung, and Wang Bo-Rong hitting homers. Despite the loss, the Lions have a 'magic number' that continues to decrease, now at M7, as another team's loss leaves them still unable to clinch the first-half title.
