In the CPBL mid-season draft on June 28, 2024, the Rakuten Monkeys chose outfielder He Pin-Shih Jung from Gu Bao Vocational School in the second round. He Pin-Shih Jung from Gu Bao Vocational School has shown improved hitting abilities in his senior year of high school, possessing mid-to-long-range hitting power, base-stealing skills, and excellent speed. He was highly regarded before the draft and was expected to be picked in the top two rounds.
