In the 35th CPBL mid-season draft, the CTBC Brothers, holding the third pick, opted for high school outfielder Hsu Ting-Lun over Japanese talent Zhang Yi. Ting-Lun, renowned for his capabilities in batting, fielding, and speed, was the first high school player selected this year, praised for his potential by scouts prior to the draft. Ting-Lun expressed relief and joy upon being chosen earlier than expected, particularly happy to join the passionate fanbase of the Brothers. As he transitions to the CPBL stage, Ting-Lun, an outfielder, aims to make it to the top team within 1-2 years, pointing out his stable hitting and arm strength as strengths. His familiarity with former senior Hu Meng-Chih from Pingzhen High School also brings comfort and encouragement as he embarks on this new chapter in professional baseball.
