During a CPBL game, Fubon Guardians' outfielder Wang Cheng-tang collapsed on the field due to heatstroke while playing defense in the 7th inning. Despite falling behind by as much as 5 runs, Wang's 3-run homer in the 5th inning tied the game. However, he had to be substituted out after experiencing discomfort and heatstroke symptoms. The team confirmed his condition and provided him with the necessary rest. Wang's strong performance at bat helped the team with crucial hits, including a home run, before leaving the game due to health concerns caused by the heat.
