Rakuten Monkeys outfielder Qiu Dan officially becomes a free agent after the team decided to part ways with him due to a drunk driving incident. Despite being drafted by Lamigo Monkeys in 2018 and making his first-team debut in 2019, Qiu Dan's contract transfer period from June 12 to 19 saw no other CPBL team expressing interest, making him a free agent. Qiu Dan's career includes 204 games played with a batting average of .263, hitting 3 home runs and 71 RBIs. This move came after zero tolerance for drunk driving in the CPBL league.
