CPBL's Taoyuan Monkeys faced Uni-President Lions at home, with a dominant pitching game in the first half turning into a hitting battle in the second half. The game saw the Monkeys breaking the tie with a 2-run homer in the bottom of the sixth, only for the Lions to respond with 5 runs in the top of the seventh. However, a late rally by the Monkeys, including key home runs in the eighth and ninth innings, helped them secure a narrow 7-6 victory over the Lions in a thrilling game.
