Defending champions Weichuan Dragons have underperformed this year, ranking last in the league in team batting average. Manager Yeh Chun-Chang attributes this to the 'pressure to grow' faced by many young players on the team after winning the championship last year. Yeh mentioned that the pressure to perform is hindering the players' performance, and he believes that by the end of this year, the players will know how to deal with it. The Dragons, who won the championship after returning to the CPBL for just three years, have struggled this season, with a seven-game losing streak and noticeable hitting issues. Yeh emphasized the importance of the players' mental growth alongside their technical skills.
