Crackdown on Human Trafficking to Combat Exploitation of Foreigners by Ministry of the Interior

A recent report by the Ministry of the Interior highlighted the organized and transnational nature of human trafficking groups exploiting foreign populations. Measures to combat this issue include enhancing source management, strengthening border screening mechanisms, and increasing international intelligence exchange. The Immigration Agency has signed anti-trafficking agreements with 22 countries and is implementing various measures to prevent and prosecute human trafficking crimes. Amendments to the anti-trafficking law aim to align with international norms, expand penalties, increase victim protection services, and enhance law enforcement capabilities to effectively combat this crime.
