In the midst of overseas travel and Mother's Day promotions, the total credit card spending of Taiwan's banks reached a record high of 372.8 billion NT dollars in May 2024, marking a significant increase compared to April, with Chang Hwa Bank taking the top spot in circulating cards, effective cards, and card usage. This strong spending trend is expected to lead to a substantial increase in credit card transaction fees for banks, with the total amount already surpassing 1.78 trillion NT dollars by May and likely to challenge a new record high for the year.
