On June 16, 2024, at 1:40 AM, the Crime Bureau was shocked by a fire incident last night. According to the reporter's revelation network, yesterday (6/15) was the annual 'Police Day,' but unexpectedly, the Crime Bureau located in the Xinyi District of Taipei experienced a fire incident last night! The Fire Department was alerted to a fire in the ammunition depot, which startled the public. It was later confirmed to be a fire in the ammunition storage room, initially ruling out external intervention, with the cause of the fire still to be clarified by the Fire Department's fire investigation personnel. Around 8:30 PM last night, the Crime Bureau on Section 4 of Zhongxiao East Road in Taipei had a fire, and the fire department quickly extinguished the flames. There were reports of a slight burning smell but no visible flames. The Fire Department stated that the burning area was about 1 square meter, and no injuries were reported. Bureau personnel suspect that a spray can caught fire causing white smoke, which triggered the alarm. Upon hearing the sound, they used fire extinguishers to put out the fire and notified the firefighters for rescue. The storage room contains metal racks, expired fire extinguisher spray cans, and training shell casings without explosives. The exact cause of the fire is pending forensic results.
