In June 2024, Liu's wife was unhappy about his infidelity and love child, so she added sleeping pills to ginseng pork heart soup, made him drink it, and killed him. Liu, known as the 'Cowherd Godfather,' disappeared 28 years ago. His assistant suspected foul play after finding Liu's items but no trace of him or his wife. The assistant contacted Liu's sister, and the police arrested Liu's wife, who eventually confessed to the murder. She combined the crime with her sister and buried Liu near the cemetery. The case was finally solved, and she was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
