Critical Metals, a US-based company, has signed a heads of agreement with Rimbal to purchase a controlling stake in the Tanbreez Rare Earth Mine in Greenland for $211m. The deal will position Critical Metals as a key supplier of critical minerals in Europe and North America. The Tanbreez Project, with an estimated resource of 4.7 billion tonnes of rare earth elements, is strategically located near transportation facilities and is set to meet the increasing demand for REEs in the technology and defense industries.
