Recently, the Criminal Police Bureau, Customs Administration, New Taipei City Police Department, and Taipei City Police Department in Taiwan successfully cracked down on an international drug trafficking group smuggling marijuana flowers. The group, led by a 35-year-old man named Lin, used the guise of importing 'Christmas decorations' from the United States to smuggle marijuana flowers hidden in 'barrel-shaped packaging bags' through international mail. Following the trail earlier this year, the police arrested Lin and 6 other suspects, with 6 individuals remanded in custody pending trial and 1 individual released on bail. The investigation revealed a sophisticated operation involving a cancer patient used as the recipient to evade detection, with ties to criminal organizations such as the Zhongshan Alliance and Tiandao Alliance.
