Chicago Cubs' Japanese pitcher Adbert Alzolay suffered his worst defeat in the U.S. against the New York Mets, giving up 10 runs in three innings, including three home runs. Alzolay's pitching speed and effectiveness were notably lower than usual, leading to his shortest outing since joining the Major League. Despite intending to gradually increase his speed, Alzolay mentioned that his 'engine hadn't had a chance to start'.
