Chicago Cubs rookie pitcher Shōta Imanaga, who had a historic start to his MLB career with a record-breaking ERA, fell back to earth in a game against the Milwaukee Brewers. Imanaga allowed seven earned runs in just 4 1/3 innings, resulting in a 10-6 loss for the Cubs. Despite this rough outing, his season-long ERA remains impressive at 1.86, with his early career stats still standing as the lowest in MLB history through a player's first nine starts.
