Cursor's CEO, Michael Truell, issued an apology for the unclear communication surrounding recent changes to its Pro plan pricing, which led to unexpected additional costs for users. The change, which limits Pro users to $20 worth of usage instead of unlimited fast responses, caught many off guard and prompted a backlash on social media. Anysphere plans to refund affected users and improve clarity on future pricing adjustments as it faces increased competition from AI model providers.
