Custodial Officer Zhong Wenlong from the Pingtung Detention Center passed away on the 17th after collapsing while handling a violent inmate incident on the 15th. Today, his family held a memorial service at the Pingtung City Mortuary. The Minister of Justice, Cheng Ming-chi, directed the head of the Correctional Bureau, Chou Hui-huang, to visit and console the family members. The Correctional Bureau expressed deep sorrow and care for Zhong, recognizing his 27 years of dedication to correctional work and outstanding professional ethics.
