CVC Capital Partners is intensifying its efforts to acquire Deutsche Bahn's logistics division, DB Schenker, by appealing directly to high-ranking officials at Deutsche Bahn. The private equity firm has submitted unsolicited letters outlining its proposals, including a full takeover offer and an alternative that allows Deutsche Bahn to retain a minority stake through a €1 billion reinvestment, which CVC claims would ultimately yield better returns compared to a rival bid from DSV A/S.
