Dahua Technology, a major Chinese surveillance equipment manufacturer, has announced its decision to exit five projects in Xinjiang, as detailed in a recent stock exchange filing. These projects, which began around 2016-2017, will be terminated or are already in the process of being abandoned, though the company did not provide a reason for this withdrawal. This move follows Hikvision's similar decision earlier this month. Both companies have faced scrutiny and been placed on a U.S. trade blacklist over concerns regarding human rights abuses in the region.
