The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) reported that global chip sales reached $49.1 billion in May, a 19.3% increase from the same period last year. The Americas saw a particularly shining performance with a 43.6% year-on-year growth in chip sales in May, while Mainland China and other Asia-Pacific regions also achieved double-digit percentage growth rates. Japan experienced a 5.8% year-on-year decrease in chip sales in May, and Europe also saw a 9.6% year-on-year decrease.
