On July 3, 2024, a dangerous incident occurred in Taichung, where a man and his friend drove into the drive-thru lane of a fast-food restaurant. The man was lying on the car hood with a rose in his mouth, attempting to give it to a female worker. Although the police couldn't penalize him as it wasn't considered a road area, the fast-food establishment urged customers not to leave their vehicles unattended in the drive-thru lane for safety reasons. The man's actions were deemed risky by many, and although some found it attention-grabbing, they acknowledged the need for safer and more respectful ways to express feelings.
