After the recent assassination attempt on the Slovak Prime Minister, another European Union member state leader was attacked. The Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, was assaulted by a man in Copenhagen and luckily only suffered a scare, without visible injuries. The attacker was promptly arrested. This incident comes just days before the EU elections, following a similar attack on the Slovak PM three weeks ago. Investigations are ongoing into both cases for possible motives and ties to organized groups.
