Meteorologist Wu Derong reminded of the extreme high temperatures brought by daytime sunlight heating, with temperatures in various parts of Taiwan reaching up to 36 to 38 degrees Celsius or even higher. Due to a stationary front in the South China to Yangtze River Basin area affecting Taiwan with warm air masses and Pacific high pressure, clear sunny weather prevails. The Central Weather Bureau issued heat information, with 15 counties and cities in northern Taiwan turning on heat warning lights, advising people to be cautious of sun exposure, heatstroke, avoid outdoor activities, and keep indoor spaces ventilated and cooled. The coming days will see warm temperatures continuing and possible brief showers or thunderstorms in central and southern Taiwan.
