In the early hours of June 13 in Tucheng, New Taipei City, a fire erupted in a residential building possibly triggered by a lithium battery explosion, claiming the lives of a mother and her son, while the daughter's boyfriend perished on the top floor. The father and daughter were rescued before the flames were extinguished. The authorities are investigating the tragic incident, which has shocked the community.
