WestJet, Canada's second-largest airline, has reached a deal with its mechanics to end a strike that disrupted travel plans for thousands of passengers over the Canada Day long weekend. However, flight disruptions are still expected as planes are brought back into service. The Airplane Mechanics Fraternal Association urged its members to return to work following a temporary agreement. WestJet had canceled hundreds of flights since Thursday, and details of the agreement were not immediately disclosed.
