Debt-ridden Group Buying Supermarket 'Zunqing' Maliciously Closes 9 Shops and Clears Out Goods with Multiple Trucks

Reported 11 months ago

A well-known chain group buying supermarket in southern Taiwan, 'Zunqing', unexpectedly closed down, leaving franchisees accusing the responsible person of maliciously defrauding and closing the business, accumulating large amounts of debts and goods, and taking legal actions. The closure led to a rush for bargains in their stores, with one in Kaohsiung even selling products at half price. However, some merchants arrived too late and found multiple trucks called by Zunqing had already taken away all the goods. The situation has caused unrest among customers and raised concerns from the police.
