A news report from SETN on July 1, 2024, revealed a case of assault that occurred early in the morning in Sanchong District, New Taipei City. A 38-year-old man surnamed Wu owed a 37-year-old man surnamed Huang 1000 NTD but refused to repay the debt, provocatively asking, 'If I don't have the money, what will you do?' Infuriated, Huang branded and beat Wu with a baseball bat. During the scuffle, Wu resisted, leading the creditor to get angrier. Ignoring pleas from female friends present, Huang allegedly stabbed Wu's left leg with a knife before fleeing. Three individuals were involved, with two arrested and one still at large. The police intervened, finding Wu bleeding from a stab wound on his left thigh. Swift action by law enforcement officers helped stop the bleeding until paramedics arrived, ensuring no life-threatening injuries. The perpetrators fled in a black sedan, but the main suspect Huang and another accomplice were captured within three hours. Huang and the accomplice were charged with disorderly behavior and assault, while the third suspect is being pursued by authorities.
