Reported on July 8, 2024, by Du Peixue in Taipei for Sanli News, Zou Cheng'en made his debut in the preview of 'Wish,' showing a handsome side. Sanli's new Taiwan 8 drama 'Wish' will premiere on the 10th, featuring many familiar faces and introducing a new male deity, Zou Cheng'en, making his first appearance in a Taiwanese prime-time drama, pairing with Lin Xuanyu. Despite the pressure of acting in Taiwanese, Zou revealed his lack of practice and shared humorous anecdotes indicating limited opportunities to use the language, even resorting to practicing with his second-grade son. The 43-year-old actor, though new to Taiwan 8 viewers, has starred in various well-known works, gaining attention for his deep features, upright physique, and impressive performances in 'Black & White,' '16 Summers,' and 'Chiang Khan,' among others. In a recent preview of 'Wish,' Zou Cheng'en's character is depicted embracing Lin Xuanyu and delivering a heartfelt confession, likely to win over many middle-aged female viewers. Lin Xuanyu, who recently married Junior (Han Yibang), also appears in 'Wish' opposite Zou Cheng'en, with no romantic connection between their characters. Zou joked about the situation and shared the challenges of their characters, indicating few intimate scenes, thus temporarily avoiding any 'kneeling with an abacus' moments.
