Decline in Fireworks Sales After Years of Explosive Growth

Reported 9 months ago

After reaching a peak of nearly US$600 million in 2022, fireworks imports in the U.S. are estimated to drop to about $350 million in 2024. The decline is attributed to the post-COVID-19 economy shift, where the increase in e-commerce during the pandemic led to a bust in sales for many products, including fireworks. The surge in fireworks use during the pandemic has now decreased back to 2010 levels, mainly due to the return of public displays, increased prices, and decreased demand from casual consumers.
