According to CTWANT Weekly, the Taipei private Da Cheng High School, with a 58-year history, is reportedly planning to stop enrolling students due to the decreasing birth rate. Although the principal mentioned discussions within the board, no official application has been submitted to the education bureau. The school plans to continue this academic year's enrollment but anticipates a smaller incoming class. Factors such as declining student numbers, increased competition from public schools with lower admission standards, and oversaturation of schools in the local district were cited as reasons for the decision. Regardless, the school aims to ensure current students can complete their studies and graduate smoothly.
