During Taiwan's #MeToo movement in June 2024, Zhou Yukou, known for frequently making false accusations, was ordered to pay NT$300,000 for accusing former legislator Huang Kuochang of 'forcing female students' and is now facing prosecution by the Northern Inspection Bureau. Despite the court ruling, Zhou continues to claim that Huang had a student-teacher affair, but the Taipei District Prosecutors Office found no connection between the alleged affair and the accusation. Zhou's initial accusation led to a legal battle with Huang demanding NT$1 million in compensation, eventually resulting in NT$300,000 compensation for defamation. Huang also filed a criminal complaint, leading to the recent prosecution against Zhou for aggravated defamation.
