On June 30, 2024, at 3:00 PM, a body appeared at the shoreline of No. 97 Pier in Taichung Harbor. Upon investigation, authorities identified the deceased as a 34-year-old delivery person surnamed Lai who had gone missing 5 days earlier. Family members were notified and the police are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
