On the morning of June 26, 2024, a delivery rider in Taichung went to Taichung Port in the afternoon, parked his motorcycle on Zhongnan 1st Road, and mysteriously disappeared after allegedly going swimming. Bystanders reported the incident, prompting the police, coast guard, and firefighters to assist in the search. The rescue operation, involving coast guard boats, drones, and volunteer firefighters, is ongoing to locate the missing delivery rider who is believed to be swimming in the port.
