In Keelung, Taiwan, a group called 'Shanhai Citizens Dismantle Liang Action' initiated a campaign to recall Mayor Xie Guoliang, enlisting Uber Eats delivery riders as volunteers to attach recall advertisement signs on their delivery boxes and transform their vehicles into promotional vehicles. The riders, like Huang, who are participating in this effort, are not necessarily supporters of the Democratic Progressive Party but are keen on the campaign due to perceived exaggerated actions by Mayor Xie. Huang, a former Navy volunteer, found a way to contribute to the campaign while doing his delivery job, receiving and distributing recall petitions when approached by interested citizens.
