Reported 11 months ago

Democrats are emphasizing the preservation of more than 1 million union workers and retirees' pensions under the Butch Lewis Act, part of the American Rescue Plan, aimed at preventing cuts to retirement benefits for 2 million workers across the U.S. The law is designed to extend the solvency of around 200 multi-employer pension plans for 30 years, with Democrats focusing on this achievement to appeal to union voters in Pennsylvania ahead of the upcoming general election.
