Dengue Fever Outbreak in Summer: Tainan and Kaohsiung Launch Epidemic Prevention Battle

In the first dengue fever cluster outbreak since summer began, there have been 2 confirmed cases in Fengshan District, Kaohsiung, prompting intensified measures by the local government and health authorities. The weather conditions have been conducive to the breeding of disease-carrying mosquitoes, emphasizing the importance of eliminating breeding sources to prevent dengue fever. Additionally, Tainan and Kaohsiung are stepping up collaboration to strengthen epidemic prevention efforts within their shared living area. As of June 17th, there have been a total of 166 indigenous dengue fever cases in Taiwan this year, with the majority in Kaohsiung, highlighting the need for continued vigilance and proactive measures to mitigate the spread of the disease.
